The
Waterfall
Find a comfortable spot in a quiet, safe place,
make sure your neck and spine are aligned and
balanced as you sit cross-legged, or if you prefer,
resting against the chair back or lying on a bed.
Roll your eyes toward the ceiling or sky, take
a slow deep breath, closing your eyes as you exhale........Take
another slow, deep breath, and this time as you
exhale, imagine that you are releasing all the
tension or anxiety, and any worries and concerns
from body mind or thought; and just begin to relax.,..
Imagine or pretend that you are lying in a beautiful
meadow with soft new grass and delicate wildflowers;...
all your senses absorbing the scents, the sounds
and the sights;... You feel tranquil, safe and
secure. You see a path that leads into the rain
forest, and you realize that this is your path,...you
enter the rain forest, listening for the small
friendly animals that dwell there,.. hear the
sound of moisture dropping from leaf to leaf...The
path leads you to a lagoon that is fed by a rainbow
waterfall,...sit down next to the lagoon, on the
smooth flat rock,...it is so relaxing here; at
your safe and secure private lagoon,...look into
the water and see your reflection,.. you are beautiful,
just as you were created to be, perfect in every
way,... the reflection you see is of your soul,...the
image fades,... and now you see the words, Ask
your question, see the answer in the waterfall....It
is now time to leave your private lagoon,...so
once again you find yourself on your path, bidding
farewell to the creatures as you head toward your
meadow,...lie down once again in the soft green
grass,...taking all the time you need, and whenever
you are ready, open your eyes, emerging from this
delightful relaxation, feeling refreshed, relaxed,
and very tranquil.
Protective Shield
Imagine that a bubble or protective shield covers
you from head to toe,...since this is your shield,
it looks exactly as you wish, beautiful pastel
colors, or glowing gold,... This shield is a gift
from the One who is Greater than us all, and Who
loves you very much...You receive comfort and
confidence from your shield...and this is so,...it
magnifies positive experiences, and allows negatvity
to bounce off and away from you, simply bounce
off and away...Allow your shield to protect you
now,..feel the safety, the comfort, and the security,...experiment
with your shield,...allow it to transport yourself
to a another time or place,... a better place,...returning
to the here and now,...and whenever you are ready,...open
your eyes, feeling refreshed, confident, and relaxed.
Sunset Beach
Find yourself on a private beach in the late afternoon,..you
are all alone, and there is no one to disturb
you,... you may sit, stand or stroll,...the sand
is soft and slightly warm, and smooth as silk,...the
water is lapping gently against the beach,...the
air is perfumed with late-blooming flowers,...the
wispy clouds are starting to turn a pale pink,...heralding
the end of the day,...slowiy now,... the colors
changing from pale to deep as the sun begins to
slip even further now,...adding pale orange now,...deeper,...and
deeper still,...body and mind relaxing more and
more as the sun reflects it's firey farewell,...clouds
glowing with the crimson brillance being echoed
from the water below,... This is your moment,..walk
out to where the water meets the sand,... the
tide now rushing; pulling gently at your feet,...allow
any negative feelings, bad memories or thoughts
to be drained away,...and as the tide leaves,
taking all the negativity with it,...Now the tide
begins to rush in once again; this time filling
you with optimism, positvity and happiness,...all
doubts now replaced with confidence,...confidence
that you are one with rhe universe, and your Creator,...When
you are ready, return to the here and now, feeling
confident, relaxed and happy.
Mountain Path
Imagine that you are lying in your meadow, surrounded
by fresh grass and field lillies; eyes closed,
feeling safe and secure. In your minds eye, you
stand up, and notice a small stream a short distance
away,... and the stream crosses the meadow, and
travels up the mountain to it's source,... Follow
the stream across the meadow;... it's an easy
walk, and you quickly find yourself at the path
at the base of the mountain...as you start the
gentle climb, you notice small deer; you hear
wood sparrows announcing your arrival,... as you ascend higher and higher
on the now steeper path, every once in a while
you can see the meadow below between the trees,
growing smaller and smaller,...on your path you
come across a large boulder, but you are determined
to reach the top. Take a moment to decide what
to do...the boulder was not a challenge to you
after all, because you either climbed over it,
went around it, or moved it out of your way!,...on
your way once again, you smell the small pine
trees as you near closer to the top... You see
a fallen log, and decide to rest,...but you need
to continue, so on you go, upward and onward,...as
you go you can only think, what will the view
be like from the top?... Finally, you reach the
top,...the view is lovely, just as you have imagined,...you
enjoy the view as you sit and rest...you feel
very proud of yourself for reaching the top, and
you realize that nothing can stop you once you
put your mind to it!...The day is beginning to
come to a close, so down, down the mountain you
must go,... quickly now, because now you know
the way,...coming to your boulder, you feel confident,
once again easily leaving it behind,... you can
see grass again between the trees, and know that
your meadow awaits you,...you hear the gentle
stream, and follow it to your favorite spot,..lie
down once again,...feeling deeply relaxed,...whenever
you are ready,...slowly emerge, feeling awake
and fully alert, remembering all that had happened,...feeling
strong and confident.
