Your
Mind, Hypnosis, and the Alpha State
If this is your first time, you will be surprised
to know that you have been hypnotized before.
If you have ever become so engrossed in a good
book, a video game, or even passed your exit on
the freeway, you automatically entered the what's
called the "Alpha State," another name for hypnosis.
Experts believe that if it weren't for hypnosis,
humans might die from stress, and it is so natural,
children are normally in the Alpha State most
of the time until about age ten. It is very similar
to daydreaming, and is also called meditation,
used for pain relief and relaxation for thousands
of years, before anything else became available.
During this very relaxed state of mind, your subconscious
mind is focused and concentrating, and the part
of your mind which contains the information, or
program, can be reached. Your mind is like a computer,
and the only program it has is it's contents.
This program is called your Personal Paradigm,
or Inner Dialog, and is formed by; consists of;
everything that has ever happened to you during
your entire life. Hypnosis is the fastest and
easiest way known to change your Personal Paradigm;
free from negative side-effects, it's benefits
are proven and substantial. In 1958, the American
Medical Association approved hypnosis as a very
safe and beneficial therapy, and it is widely
used in England for everything from peri-operative
(before, during, and after an operation) to behavior
modification. By using a Board Certified, Licensed,
Master Hypnotherapist, you are assured of complete
safety and a very satisfying session!
What
you can expect during your Private Session
A private session begins with the Intake Form,
where you are asked to answer a few questions,
even some pertaining to your health. The questions
were designed to make your session personalized
just for you. The more candid you are during the
interview, the better your session will be. You
are then shown a film, explaining the process
of hypnosis, and at this time, any questions can
be answered. When you are ready, with soft lighting,
and softer music, (which is scientifically designed
to be relaxing and healing) you are given what
is known as a Progressive Relaxation - about twenty
minutes of suggestions to relax, and let go - in
a slow, soft voice. Only when it is determined
by your response to various cues, subtly given,
and by your physical appearance, that you are
sufficiently relaxed, is therapy begun. A hypnotized
person has distinctive characteristics. An experienced
Hypnotherapist does not need to do any "tests"
for hypnosis. It doesn't really matter what level
of hypnosis you attain, anyway, it works just
as well at lighter levels as it does at deeper
ones; the real key is the suggestions. As a Licensed
Board Certified Master Hypnotherapist, Celine
has written Prescriptive Suggestions that other
therapists use. She believes an intuitive bond
enables her to employ the most beneficial suggestions
during each session. There is, during hypnosis, a phenomenon known as Fractionalization, and it simply means that the more you are hypnotized,
the easier it becomes, the faster it happens,
and the deeper you go!
When receiving suggestions, you shouldn't be asleep,
an experienced Hypnotherapist knows the techniques
to use to keep you awake, and can tell when you
have drifted off to sleep. You don't want to waste
your time with therapy while you're asleep, because
your mind is in the "Delta" state, where it's
not paying attention to sound - it's just sleeping.
Depending upon your needs, your treatment may
include some active participation. Suggestive
Therapy, where in a relaxed state, you simply
listen to positive suggestions is usually used.
You may participate by talking, or moving your
head or fingers to say "yes" or "no" to questions.
Your desire and participation help to assure a
successful session. All hypnosis is actually self-hypnosis,
and can only occur because of your willingness
and cooperation! When you allow yourself to become
hypnotized, you are always aware, in control,
and able to stop the procedure at any time, The
more intelligent and creative you are, the more
successful and satisfying your session will be!
What you can expect after Hypnosis
One hour of hypnosis is equal to about six hours
of natural sleep, so when you emerge, it may take
a few moments for you to feel completely alert.
Some people linger longer than others, and since
everyone is different; it may take longer or be
quicker for you to become wide awake. In any event,
you will not be allowed to exit the office until
you are completely alert, and ready to leave.
Besides imparting
profound prevasive relaxation, hypnosis produces
a very euphoric feeling, because natural hypnosis
has the same effect as Nitrous Oxide, (laughing
gas) only without any harmful side-effects. This
is usually very evident to friends and family,
who without even knowing what treatment was for,
will often call for an appointment just to get
"that relaxation you gave them." You may think,
just because you felt fully awake at all times,
that it may not have happened. Don't worry, it
did! When you have no use for cigarettes, fall
asleep easily, or no longer feel the need to binge
and purge, become more motivated, etc.,... you
are amazed to realize that the message is clear,...
NOT ONLY WERE YOU HYPNOTIZED, BUT THE SUGGESTIONS
ARE WORKING VERY WELL!!!
